I can finally look at these pics of the damage without wanting to :rage: so I figured I'd post them up.

I'm heading to the body shop to check it out in the morning so I'll grab some pics of how she sits now.

She smelt the moose on the truck:

For those of you that don't know the story. Saturday the 17th of May I was heading out to the camp/cottage (whatever) and a moose ran out of the rhubarb smack into the passenger front quarter of the truck. OBLITERATED my passenger headlight, took the mirror out, dented the roof, dicked the door pins, blew the windshield and pass window out, buckled the hood, fender, bumper, grille, and even tore my lower valence off. Where the mirror mounts to the door was stoved in, and there's glass EVERYWHERE in the truck. Only reason there's even a window in the pic is my tint. It hit hard enough my windshield pillar trim panel popped off, my pass sun visor dropped, and my overhead console fell off, and my diablosport flew out and cranked me in the side of the head. A chunk of my mirror was on my lap, and the rest was down the road. The biggest part of my passenger headlight that survived was the LENS from the PROJECTOR.

Even my fender flare was fucked from the mud in the moose's fur. It was like someone took 60grit to the plastic.

It was CLOSE to getting written off. Estimate came up to 10k in damage, and they write the truck off after 80% of the value.

No fault because animal, $300 deductible. At least I won't have stone chips on the hood anymore...

Hate to see that man, hopefully all will get fixed and maybe you can get away with a few new mods out of the deal!

Damn dude that blows. Any plans for mods while in the bodyshop?

This is a good example of why you should have full coverage on any kinda decent/nice car. Even on my old cobra I'll keep full coverage for stuff like this

Yeah. Took it to the GM dealership because I wouldn't settle for anything less than OEM sheet metal. Insurance gave me zero hassle on that one though surprisingly.

Was told that the truck had ZERO structural issues, the reason the door was catching is because the moose's head fucked the door pins up when he hit... UNREAL.

Surprisingly though, they're replacing my Denali headlight, no questions asked, and reimbursed me for my Morimoto Mini H1 5.0's... which then paid for my 6.0's lmao.

I was going to do painted flares but they wanted $1900, so I said FUCK IT put a new textured one on... My chrome bullets are also getting replaced that are peeling. I'm still on the fence as to whether or not I want to ditch the bullets... I do like them.

Other than that, I'm getting the surface rust on my rocker panels fixed front to back while it's there. I realize I'm probably looking at a grand just to do that but it's worth it IMO. I'll tape it up with clear 3M bra tape in the fall before I drive it through another winter just to protect it.

I'm just happy to be getting my truck back. And j.mo. No salvage title because it wasn't written off. :read:

$6,000 dollars worth of damage to my truck, radiator was pushed back 6 inches on the passenger side and it also buckled the fender like a bitch!

Don't feel bad Pat, my brother and I hit them a week apart in high school. They're dumb as fuck and it sucks because their eyes don't reflect light... can't see shit until BAM! How fast were you going? I was doing ~65 mph IIRC. It's definitely scary as fuck, I screamed like a little bitch right before impact. Be glad you weren't in a small car, it probably would have been sitting in your lap.
