That looks like a video a 2nd owner would do. Most people after spending that much time and money to build something wouldnt drag it WOT through a bumpy parking lot

Both correct, unfortunately that is the same truck. He purchased it from the group of friends that helped 1 guy build it but I haven't been able to track them down.

I'm willing to bet that's why it has a rear bumper now instead of a roll pan... I don't remember seeing any holes on the driver side of the bed where the plate was in that vid though.

Well 1 step forward 2 steps back.

I found a set of spares I could use for alignment, and just general spares for car show trips.



Stock truck mode



And the 17's made the 2 link pull very noticeable



So the game plan was sell the Granite Alloy 22's and use the money to get a 3 link and put my old billets on even though they aren't the best design.

Did a tune up in the mean times since I've had the wires and plugs laying around for awhile.







Pass side



Driver side (yes I destroyed a couple getting them out)



Then this weekend when I shifted into reverse at walmart I heard a loud pop and lost reverse. Put it in drive to pull forward and heard an awesome whine noise and new I did some damage. Turns out I lost 2nd, 4th, and reverse. So now I need to pull the transmisison and have it rebuilt.



So now I'll sell the wheels to fund the transmission rebuild.

Got pissed thats it parked now so I decided to take the headlights apart to retrofit them. Turns out those aftermarket clears were not coming apart without a fight, but I finally got the lens' off of them and the reflectors out to use on a set of OEM headlights.











And that is where I stand on the headlight project. Need to take the dremel to them and get the projectors a nice place to mount.

How much for them granites? Always wanted those wheels

Well I have 6 total, all 22's. 3 of 1 offset and 3 of another. 4 have tires ( 4 on the truck now) all 265/35/22 the spare 2 are just wheels. There is some curb rash and a slight bend in 1. I'll get some detialed pics soon with all 6 and let you know. Was thinking about $1000 with all 6 wheels and 4 tires.

Well I managed to lift it up to what may be high enough. Then I just laid under it with a flashlight looking at stuff for a good hour. It never fails, it turned into pull trans to a whole list of stuff.



Shoved the colorado customs in the rear just because I was bored, realized the bag it holding it up from tucking anymore. When/if I get the 3 link I'll have the bag mounts moved up a tad.

I pulled the y-pipe and figured I'd pull the manifolds and just go back together with some speed engineering longtubes.



Had a little mishap with the rear bolt on both sides though.



Game plan now is to still pull the trans and get it rebuilt. Then just bolt the headers on for now to get me going until I find a decent set of heads and just swap them out. I have the 862 heads anyway so they are not the best. Going to keep trucking on for now and see how much more I break.

Alright, so I got it out and rebuilt. In pulling it out I broke the black box that the electrical connectors plug into. I've been looking for a new one but I have no idea what its called.

Its a bit rusty but I'm just making sure it clears 1st. If it works I'll take it off and sand it down and paint it.

Sent my PCM into blackbear for the random things being deleted and the long tubes. Its back and installed just waiting for my headers to show up from speed engineering now and I should have everything.

I got the 1 3/4" this thing will never see FI so I figured those would be overkill.

The "black box" you are referring to is the range sensor.

Got all my other connections and brackets put back on.

I do have one question on the driveshaft carrier bearing though. It was bolted straight to the cross member, is there supposed to be a spacer or anything on here?

The dark spots on the floor pan are undercoating from the previous owner moving the gas tank up. The bearing and cross member were my main focus. just didn't know if there is a spacer or shim required in there.

Luckily the pest control place spays the garage and house quarterly so he was already dying and moving kinda slow. Scooped him up in a paint cut and tossed him out so maybe he lived elsewhere.

Got my dash back about 2 days before the show and got it installed

Still need to raise the carrier bearing. Hoping to do that tomorrow on a rack tomorrow at work. The 4 post drive on would be so much better than jacking it up again.
