So basically everything from my 5.3L swapped over to the 6.0L (don't think that's much of a surprise). Used fuel rails and injectors from flex fuel 5.3 cause that's what I had stock. Every nut and bolt seemed a fight, prolly didn't help that it was 25 degrees at the time of all this. Overall probably 20-25 man hours on this, over a span of like two and a half weeks. Make sure you grounds are all connected lol

EDIT: Truck is running on a base tune from HP tuners using my stock 5.3 tune with the cylinder volume changed for a 6.0. Going to plug into to it today to see if tweaks need to be made. Engine is stock with nothing but a CAI.

:success:

Did the flywheel from thr 5.3 work on the 6L? Hows the power diff?

Yes, the flex plate worked just fine, though I have a 6.0 starter as well. I changed it cause I thought my 5.3 starter was dead but it ended up being that the negative battery ground was not hooked up lol. Power is fucking awesome, only layed into it once so far as I'm scared for my trans, but as far as daily drive ability it is far superior to the 5.3. The low end torque is very noticeable, don't need to put my foot way into it to accelerate or pass. It gets to 90 pretty quick lol

:datass: how much did it end up costing u? you freshen up the 6L at all?

Paid 2,000 overall for a junkyard lq4 with 205-210 comp. has 67,000, came with injectors, fuel rails, harness, intake mani and throttle body, had to put my accessories on. I would have liked to freshen it up but I needed my truck ASAP as its my only vehicle.

It's not technically difficult, you just have to be willing to put the man hours in to get it done. There is no external difference between a 5.3 and 6.0. We had some minor setbacks but the end result is sooooooo worth it lol
