Just keep in mind, if you run a lot of interstate miles, with 4:11's, 70mph + that shit can get annoying. Currently running around 2700-2800 I think at 75. Sounds like you're in third gear all the time.

Dnw the hassle of swapping a gen4 motor

I don't understand why everyone will spend time/money on a motor that they will probably not be happy with unless boosted. There's a reason every guy that's done a 6.0 swap HIGHLY recommends it.

The gen 4 swap isn't to difficult.

The gen4's people just want a arm and leg for

With my current plans,
4.8, efans, cai, Lt, built trans and gears.
Everything can be swapped over.
So i dont see it as a waste.

I rarly drive on the highway, truck sits mon-fri while working.

I was curious once bout 6.2, looked on CL and yeah ppl want big bucks for them.

So just do what Peyton suggested, it'll all work if you swap to moar cubes down the road.

I was hell bent on a boosted 4.8. But lately I've been really looking at a 6L swap to keep it simpler for me. So that's what I want to do down the road.

Just put you gears and a converter for now..

Your $600 cam swapped 4.8 will buy the 6L . Then all your exhaust and converter gears will all be on the 6L. Then cam that later down the road.

That's why you turbo'd your 4.8, right

I know what you're saying, just some people don't want the added hassle that boost adds...that extra factor of something to go wrong.

Not saying they're unreliable, I know they're dead reliable. It's just not for some people.

Good info and opinions in here. I wouldn't rule out boost too quickly, a 6.0 swap is fairly straight forward but so is bolting on a ~$1800 KB kit....pick your poison.

I wanted a KB kit for my 4.8,but ive already stated out why that got ruled out. Would of had to make everything custom
