Drop in a LQ9, Long Tubes, good tune, and a 3000 stall and keep your wheel/tire choice smaller. And it will be quick.

I went from a stock 5.3L truck on 285/55/20's, to a LQ4, 2600rpm stall, and a dyno tune, and it feels completely different. Way quicker and more fun. Quicker than a stock NNBS 5.3L with the 4 speed, and stock tires. Mine is also lifted, only 87 octane.
