2012 wt 4.3l to 5.3 is it easy and able to plug and play

well i pick up a new 2012 wt with a 4.3l and when my warranty is up i wanna switch it out to a v8 i know i need a new ecu and engine but would my trans work etc etc just a list of parts i wanna still be able to scan the obd system just like it was factory.
 
Just so you know, most people will say do some research, because every question you asked has already been answered.

Yes you will still be able to use the obdII just like a factory 5.3 truck.

Your trans should bolt right up, but I'm not sure if you need a different flex plate than what is used on the v6.

Honestly, I would suggest researching a bit more, finding out what other swaps have been done, look at their parts lists, and go from there. We're helpful, but we won't spoon feed information that can be easily researched. :shake:
 
Lol, I was referring to him asking for parts lists and everything. I'm on my phone or I would've looked up swaps for him.
 
I appreciate the help i will have to research it further on the site and check into it on others.
