02 Suburban

So here is my 02 Suburban LT.

It has 200k on the clock and I paid $2000. So it is what it is.

Day I brought it home.

New mirrors and wheels. Mirrors were like floppy dicks so I needed new ones

Not much else right now. I tore the bug guard off and today tuned it. Waiting until it is not so cold out to crank it and add spacers to the rear. I have clear markers for it as well but I am into this for less than $2600 right now.

I see more and more people getting NBS Tahoes and Burbans now since they are so damn cheap. I've had mine since 2006 and it's treated me very well the last 10 years.

It's cheaper to get into a burban than a truck

It's the same size as your truck now.

I am use to using my mirrors and not swinging my head around though.

Yeah, I know. That's the reason I ended up with a Burban. Back when I bought this in early 2006, I was initially trying to buy a Crew Cab truck, but I couldn't find one for a penny under 20k, not even a used 2003. I found this for just under 16k, and it was in pristine condition with low miles. The interior room is a HUGE plus, and I can fold down the seats and haul an 8 foot sheet of plywood and still close the back hatch. Once I realized all of that, I figured I would get more use out of the Burban than a CC truck, so I pulled the trigger on the Burban. Now ten years later, I am glad I did. I had a 2015 Silvy CC as a rental last year and I loved it until we went grocery shopping. I had to put everything back in the bed out in the sun. I'm used to being able to put stuff in the back cargo area of my Burban, which is fully secured and air conditioned, which help keep my groceries cool on the ride home. Lol

I built some fog light pods brackets today. I need to find some matching pods to put there. I have 6 pods but they very wattage and optics. I am worried this is not going to put light where I want it so I might just build some pillar mounts for cubes that sit right above the hood and not run these. Sucks when you have actual needs for lights and are not just out looking for dick

Yea I don't want to run my 30" bar on this truck and I don't like the behind the grill setups so I will mess around. I have $0 into it

Only pic I have on my phone. Basically the same as any bracket you can by but only took me an hour and scrap metal. More solid than the factory fogs. I need to paint them and still get another hyperspot

I had hell trying to fab brackets to make aftermarket fogs fit AND be easily adjustable to aim them. I gave up and went with the Z71 type valance with the OEM style round fogs. They have a simple plastic wingnut to adjust the aim up or down in two seconds.

That is what I was seeing when I put them.on the bracket. However most people that want a bracket like this are just for looks. I already know I am not going to like how these workperformance wise. Time will tell. I might just flatten out one of these brackets to make a template in case anyone want to buy a bracket like this.
