I just replaced my fuel pump as well. It still had the original OEM pump in it. I replaced mine with an AC Delco pump from Rockauto. If the original Delco pump lasted 130k miles and over 15 years, then that's what I wanna go with again. Not some cheap ass Airtex bullshit, or something of the sort. I almost did like you and replaced it without completely removing the tank. But I did end up completely removing it. I was waiting on the pump to arrive anyways, so I had plenty of time to pull it out. Luckily I had my 16 year old son to help me because that shit was hell on my back. I only had 1/4 tank when the pump failed, but that thing felt heavy as a sumbitch. Once I got it out, I drained it into several gas cans, and I also cleaned a bunch of mud/dirt off the pump mounting flange. It went in a LOT easier than it came out, probably because it was so damn much lighter, lol. And the new pump comes with a new harness/pigtail for the new pump. Probably because so many trucks end up with melted pump pigtails. There was even a recall for this issue about ten years ago. I remember shortly after I bought my Suburban in January 2006, I got a letter about the recall and went to the dealer to have the pump pigtail replaced under the recall. It was the same exact plug that came with the new Delco pump, so I didn't bother cutting it off and replacing it, since it looks just as new as the one that came with the new pump. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

Gave the Burb a much needed cleaning today. Wash/detail on the exterior. Vacuum, conditioned the leather, full plastics wipe down, door jambs, etc.

Guess I should update this as some time has passed.

Nothing has really changed all that much. Still DD'ing the Burb and turned over 198,600 miles!

Put on the "winter" tires/wheels off the RCSB. Stockers and 285 BFGs.

Tried one of the GMC OEM 20s and 305/55/20s on. Fit and clear everything fine as is. But, I think I'll still ad my BL early next year.

Thx! :shake:

Won't be "stuffed" or "tower". I just wanna clear 305s without any DD rubbing. RCSB did it with the 1" BL.

Figured I'd do a quick "update". Been awhile.....

Met up with my buddy Andy last wknd to pickup some parts he's been gathering for me from his local junkyards. Him finding all this good stuff at cheap prices has got me itching to scour my local yards to see what I can turn up!

Thanks!

Right now the eskys don't really "tie in" IMO. Looks odd to me with black mirrors and painted caps. Although, a lot of people run theirs this way and my old CC was the same!?!

So, in order to fix that "issue" I've got my fully CM'd mirrors with chrome caps. They're painted and ready to be cleared. I'll be smoothing and color matching the HD grille and bumper cap so it can be swapped on when I do the BL soon. And, I'm currently working on the rear gate smoothing the PO's job of a repair around the corroding wiper arm.

I gotta get on the ball and get my pewter paint ordered. Got parts that need sprayed, install the BL, and assemble everything at once!

Just another "one".....

Dirty from all our crappy weather recently.... But doesn't really show it.

And, finished the Denali handle install, window switch bezels, and led 194s.

Where did you buy your 194s from? I have some vleds with the multi led bulb and it is super bright. Yours seem to be a little more subdued. Thinking about ordering the vled single led bulbs for the doors.

My buddy gave me these LEDs. 6 pack. 5 LEDs on each 194. They are the four sided ones, one led on each side, and one on the end. They're pretty damn bright at night IMO. But, bc of the size of them, I had to trim alittle bit on the door lenses opening to accept the bulbs.

You should sell me that blue hd hood

My uncle wants it for his 01' z71. Just waiting on him to pick it up. If not, I would.
