I'd just colormatch the top pad, dye the bottom black or get Z71 valance and do the handles which you already said were planned and roll

Yup. Top cap will be CM'd. Bottom valance will be black one off the RCSB. And, I may CM this valance to see if I like that look. I'll have "options". Handles will be CM'd soon. I've got fully disassembled mirrors too... That were to be CM'd with chrome caps for the RCSB. If I go that route, I'll add esky pulls to the CM'd handles.

Definitely do eskys and cm mirrors imo. I think that would flow really well with the chrome grille and look great with that color.

Tossed the Ford keys in tonight after dinner. Just set where it was. Once I drive it and it settles I'll recheck and adjust. Going for a leveled stance right now. Maybe invest in rear coil spacers, but not sure what size I'll go with?!? I see a lot of T/Y Forum guys going with 1.5" or 2". I think I'd stay with 1.5" max...!?!

Then I can always add my BL to help fit the 2" spacers and GMC 20s/305s.

I see that quite a few guys on the TahoeYukonforums used the 99-02 Silverado 1.5" Body lift. I have been wanting to do that on mine. I've been wanting to do a HD front on mine for a while as well. If I went with a 1.5" body lift, I wouldn't even have to adjust my bumper. Just install the body lift spacers
and then swap the regular top bumper cap with the HD bumper cap which is 1.5 inches taller.

Got my Green CAI installed today!

Cleaned, scrubbed, and vacuumed carpets.

Swapped 6.5" Pioneer door speakers in all (4) doors. Trying to decide what to do with a replacement 8" slim sub....?!?

Changed cabin air filters, yuck!!! And, swapped in the RCSBs blower resistor, as I only had spd. 5.

So, today, after reading a forum thread about an aftermarket alarm/remote starter setup.... I was curious. I knew the Burb seemed to have an aftermarket alarm... I thought!?! Previous owner never mentioned it... Only that he only got one key and fob with it when he bought it.

I knew it had a small Directed RF Plus antenna inside the windshield. No small toggles or valet switches... But, I could see some additional wiring under the column, an aftermarket black box, and an underhood mercury switch mounted on the hood lamp bracket.

After reading the forum thread, I looked into it alittle more.... Did the Burb have a remote start as well!?! Tried what I read on there by pressing the lock button 3x... Nothing! I tried a combination of things.... Then I held down the lock & unlock at the same time... Bingo!!!! Burb fired up!

Werd! I've always wanted a remote start on my vehicles for that exact reason.... Winter! But, never felt like going through the "hassle" of installing one.....

Old 2dr F/S Blazer had a remote start/alarm. But, that bitch had a mind if it's own!

Sorry to hear about the truck, but looks like you have a fun replacement. Smart move getting the same color/style truck to rob parts. Sounds like something I would do TBH.

Thanks bud! Yeah.... Truck loss still hurts. But, the Burb is filling the void nicely! That was my plan when I started searching....early NBS (99-02), pewter.

Hmm.... :hmm:

These are power, heat, puddle lamps. Power fold/turns isn't until 03'+, correct?!? You have them...? Wired yourself..?

i have seen people put them on the older trucks, takes some extra wiring for sure.

2002 escalades had them, they had a power fold mirror switch where the 4wd.

If you were to get a set, everything in the mirror you can just wire up (puddle, signals, heat, etc) and run the wires to this, the switch is not CANBUS like 03+ stuff is. Problem is finding a place to put this because your 4wd switch... Maybe convert to a floor shift?

Yeah, I did it on my truck. I also installed a set for Gannon on his RCSB. Its definitely not plug and play, you need to cut the plug off and then solder each wire to a 99-02 mirror plug. Your Burb should already have heated mirrors if you have the rear defroster, so basically everything except the turn signal and power fold can be wired up to plug right in. Then you have to run wiring into the doors for the turn signals and the power fold. You can wire them to a 02 Escalade switch, but then you would have to figure out how to mount the Escalade switch since you have 4wd. You could always have them wired to where they fold and unfold with arm and disarm of your alarm. To do that you need two relays and two PAC TR7 timer modules.
