Since I've been having so much trouble with this, I figured I'd make a thread. Truck is a 2011 Silverado 1500 4x4 Z71 with 108,xxx miles.
2 weeks ago I went from leveled to a 2/3 drop. I used belltech street performance lowering struts with factory coils. I took the truck the following Tuesday...
I have a 2001 Silverado 4x4. I recently bought a 4l65 for a good deal. I helped pull the trans out of a working truck. Then installed it in my 01. The donor truck was an 05 SS. On start up everything is fine. Once it is in gear you can hear it engage the trans. Then it will free spin like it's...

Like the title states, I have an inconsistent steering shake that I'm trying to iron out. Its not noticeable until 60+ and it just does it from time to time.
I first noticed it after installing my wheel spacers, so I took everything back off and carefully reinstalled/torqued everything down. No...
My 4runner forums suck so im going to make a thread here with my continued "build".
I figured it will be easier to make a build thread instead of blowing up random threads.
When i just purchased it.

It only took a week to take the steps...
Ok ok, I know I'm jumping the gun a little bit since I don't even have the truck yet  But I'm so freaking excited that I had to post.
Little back story of how this came about. Lisa is my second cousin and her husband (Frank) got this truck from the original owner's widow when he passed...
97 suburban was going down highway and everything died as if you hit the key. Change crank sensor, oli pressure, ignition mod. Got spark got fuel pressure but no fuel to intake. Will run with starting fluid. Out of ideas
Wanting some recommendations on headunits. Always been a pioneer fan, but want to broaden my horizon lol. I want a 7" screen, blue tooth audio and navigation. Let me know some opinions please. Thanks

Quick question, I am getting varried answers to this problem. On the passenger side axle seal, its leaking so I need to replace. Do I have to remove the extension from the diff to get the axle out or can i just whack it with a hammer/use a pry bar and slide it out, swap seal and slide it back...
Picked this up not too long ago and figured I'd do a build thread on it as I change things on it.
Other plans that are not shown
Paint to match top pad
New lower valance and spoiler dyed black
New head, parking, fog lights
Possibly lower another inch
When I picked it up
Picked up...
I'm in the process of removing the pinstripe and molding from my 2013 Sierra. I know on the molding to use the eraser wheel, but what about the fine residue left from the pinstripe? Would a clay bar take care of it? Thanks

received my switchbacks ( VLEDs, ones that stay white and only flash amber) yesterday and installed them at the meet along with the new flasher relay. they worked perfect in the parking lot there, perfect on two short drives, then while driving Mike realized my left dash blinker and mirror...
Need input on if I need to change out the fuel lines and return line regulator. I have a 2010 Sierra it came stock with a 4.8l flex fuel, I upgraded to the 430hp ls3 and changed the fuel pump to walbro 450, I'm running 60# injectors and a procharger supercharger D1-sc1 with 10# of boost. Motor...
Currently -2. My 99 nbs starts fine but my tranny hates it. 100% fine when warmed up or not fucking sub zero out.. likes to shift like its in tow/haul. I assume my tranny fluid is thick from the cold weather. 168k and tranny flush and filter 10k ago. Any additives I can use to help it out...
So I have a question for the more experienced. I am pretty new to this and need advice. I have a 91 Chevy stepside with a 350 in it and I want to upgrade to a 454. I'm not totally sure if this is possible but if it is I would like to know the best place to get a performance motor and the best...
FFR,
Ive tried to handle this via PMs/Emails/posts multiple times. Each time i was told "they must not be tight enough" or "installer error". This absolutely sent me into a white fiery rage. I've worked in customer service for over 10 years and i hate when someone doesn't back their own product...
I just got my escalade handles back from the body shop and I was wondering if there is an online tutorial that shows how to replace them?
IIRC there is a cap that needs to be removed to access one of the bolts but I have no idea how to get to the other bolt, or to connect the handle to the...
As most know, i hit a dear with my truck a few weeks back. while it was with the body shop for repairs, we also decided to add a few updates. it was late and raining when i got it back, but as soon as the weather cleared up, i got out the adams and detailed it up :D
