Converting kp bushed bar ends to heims

I'm actually running a watts, and there's nearly no side to side axle movement through the travel. There was one incident where an accuair sensor failed and dumped all the air in the LR corner, thus tearing up that bushing. I did look into Johnny joint options, but the bushing width is not...

Converting kp bushed bar ends to heims

So since installing, I've been tearing up bushings every couple of months. I never hit sides. So I went ahead and changed out the bar ends to heims, for a little bit of articulation. I can't do the uppers just yet, because to set pinion I had to extend them more threads than a regular heim...

    Adjustable upper ball jionts NBS

cool thanks bro, my UBJ's are not maxed out so strength shouldn't be a huge concern, and MMW arms use stock BJs

    Adjustable upper ball jionts NBS

I have regular bushings, I cant use offset bushings cause I'm running MMW control arms. I also have my uppers raised 1.5". So the only place I can gain adjustment now is through these adjustable BJ's. I have been considering slotting my LCA mounting holes to get some neg camber back, but I'd...

anybody ever use these?? http://www.amazon.com/ACDelco-45K4032-Professional-Suspension-Assembly/dp/B00S0AM0FU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1428948919&sr=8-1&keywords=45K4032 I'm looking to get some negative camber and negative caster, not quite sure how they install or if they're any good. Camber...

    Welders Thread

I didn't really care for the flexloc, real cumbersome to change angles/just feels weird with that extra joint in it. Much rather prefer wp-9/ck-9 torch for smaller stuff <125 amps, anything more water cooled is the only way to go.

    Pressing out Uca bushings

Air chisel on the flange usually works for me

    Slow RCSB bagged build

Yeah I'm glad I did it, I was back and forth for a long time. But I knew if I just cut to clear, I would be pissed at myself every time I looked at it. So that left me only one option.

Yup, biggest thing now is figuring out the liner

Shot of the bed, looks basically stock. Which was the look I was going for. Also added some spidery gussets to the front corners of the bed, probably serves no structural purpose but ties in with the theme.

True They are the attachment points for those triangulated braces under the engine cradle but on the frame side. I guess it's like a nub with a captured nut inside of it, kinda weird

It lays but there like 1/8-1/4" of daylight between the rails. I want the rails flush to the ground haha

    Slow RCSB bagged build

Thanks bro Well she's finally back on the road in action. Lots more stuff I want to do but at least I can drive it for now. Hood struts are number one on the list, I guess when laying it out the tire bent the brackets that hold the springs in. Then probably battery relocation, and I want to...

    Slow RCSB bagged build

I was planning on just bubble testing it again, plus I highly doubt these tanks are ut or rt inspected prior to sale anyway. If they were I wouldn't have this problem in the first place. and none of them would pass inspection, aluminum is super hard to pass xray.

    Slow RCSB bagged build

Probably could do a pt(penetrant test) which I would think is sufficient, and probably find way more stuff wrong then I'd like to know. But like you said it's easier just to get a new tank. I just don't want to disassemble it, rather weld it in place, cause hardlines are all routed and...

Got some wiring done, little more to go. Wanted to get this all finished up by this weekend, but doesn't look like I'm gonna make it.

Why is that? I weld on pressure vessels for a living, probably one of the biggest pressure vessels there is....nuclear fast attack subs. It's just that I don't have access to an ac tig machine.

    Slow RCSB bagged build

Thanks mike! Trying my best while I have the time to do it, takes way longer to do it the way I want it vs just so it works. Got most of the air management plumbed up today, tried my hand at some hard lining. Came out pretty good I think, used aluminum tubing. Real easy to work with, and no...

    Slow RCSB bagged build

Only got to work on it for a couple hours today. Put in the gas tank to check fitment, everything seems fine. Ended up breaking one of those vacuum tees for the vent lines on the tank so will have to patch that up. And my dumbass didn't install the forward 4 link bracket, so tank will have to...
