2003 Chevy Silverado, 2wd reg cab short bed, 4.8L V8, 5-sp manual, RCSB

2003 Chevy Silverado regular cab short bed. Black exterior, tan cloth interior - Asking $9900 OBO I looked for almost 6 months to find a RCSB 2WD pickup with the LS V8. Truck rides and drives great. Clutch is strong. Everything works, power windows, power locks, auto headlights, AC and heat. LS...

Installed McG 4/6 drop. Front sits high

Thanks for backing me up on this. I guess my pictures just aren't showing the issue very well. It is high in the front period. So you got an inch out of a 1/4 coil? Good to know.

    Aiming headlights after susp drop

Thanks but my truck doesn't have those adjusters. I have the hole in the grill support but there is nothing down there. The only adjuster I can find on the entire headlight assembly is the small gray torx next to the locking pin. It only turns 3 or 4 turns and is adjusted as far down as it...

    Aiming headlights after susp drop

So my truck is now dropped 4/6 and basically level. My headlights are now clearly aimed too high. I just went out to aim them and the factory adjustment is bottomed out. So now what? I had zero intention of buying any aftermarket lighting. Thanks

    2003 RCSB 4.8 5-sp

Okay, thanks for the feedback everyone. The is my first time at the lowering rodeo. I guess I will leave it alone for now and move on to other things. And only look at it from the LH side. :)

    2003 RCSB 4.8 5-sp

Okay, so its been a few weeks. Had my bumpers out for powder so I haven't had a chance to drive the truck too much. The drop still doesn't look level to me. I took some measurements of the frame to the ground at two different parking lot locations. I measured from the inside edge of where...

Installed McG 4/6 drop. Front sits high

Thanks everyone. The spring is indexed as close to where the old one was as I could get it. I even re-used the factory coil insulators. Though I bought new LCA's because the lower ball joints were shot.

Installed McG 4/6 drop. Front sits high

Yes, the front left is lower. Don't some of these trucks have a lean?

Installed McG 4/6 drop. Front sits high

I am running BellTech Street Performance, I bought the part number they told me to for a 2-4" drop, 10103i. I quickly ducked my head under the truck this AM before coming to work. It looks like I may be touching the bump stop, but its not compressed, hard to tell with the shadows. Does...

Installed McG 4/6 drop. Front sits high

Oh that's great, just what I needed to hear. :) I haven't cut out my notch....yet. Having 2nd thoughts since nothing I have done in the rear is permanent, just the flip so far. I mean I bought the rear parts from someone who bailed on the notch cut as well. Though flipping it back around...

Installed McG 4/6 drop. Front sits high

Framing square level to the center of the hub, I am getting ~16.25" pass side, 15.75" drivers side to the edge of the fender. R and L rear are both sitting at 15.5"

Installed McG 4/6 drop. Front sits high

Hi all Just finished up installing a McG 4/6 drop on my 2003 RCSB. I took some measurements from the ground to the fender edge and the wheels gap ahead of installing the kit. The rear dropped exactly as it should, 6" no issues. Finished up the front today. I have the 17" wheel 2 inch drop...

    2003 RCSB 4.8 5-sp

Yeah. It was sputtering and having issues feeding. Probably needs a new liner. I changed the tip to a new one which helped a little. Though I think my feed wheel is worn. It's been on there since I bought it in 1998? Not sure how many spools I ran through it. Not a ton, but maybe 10 lbs...

    2003 RCSB 4.8 5-sp

I have an older Lincoln 110v MIG that I used for years repairing rusty Early Broncos. But it has been sitting for years and wasn't cooperating. I was able to tack it together for mock up and then took it somewhere to get finish welded. They just MIG'ed it.

    2003 RCSB 4.8 5-sp

Figured I would post some updates of my mods and build up as I go. McG 4/6 drop is coming soon. Today I installed a Gibson 3" single exit exhaust. Picked it up on CL but it was for an extended cab, I knew that going in. Figured I could modify the head pipe and that's exactly that I was able...
