Figured as quite ALOT of time has passed on this ol' girl, the thread deserved an "update" of sorts.....
Basically, the HD saw Carlisle All-Truck Nats. in August 2016 and hasn't been used much since..... The Burb has been doing all the DD duties, weekend errands, kids events, and it even went to Carlisle ATN for the 2017 season.
I had kinda lost interest in the HD after ALL these years of ownership. It hadn't been inspected since 2016. And, hadn't been driven on the road, but I think twice, in 2017 for a short run around the block. After finding and buying back my Mustang in June 2017 (which I'd had since I was 17) after 4 yrs of it being gone.... I was at crossroads! 3 vehicles in my fleet, 1 was gonna have to go.....
So........ After ALOT of debating back and forth..... I decided, I knew what I had to do!?!

No!!!!! Not sell the HD, duh!!! 
Unfortunately, the Burb will be de-modded and sold.... Due to age/mileage the HD is just in MUCH better overall condition. And, I've owned it since new.
It was time to put the HD back into service and USE it. It's been sitting, but unfortunately not in a nice climate controlled garage. It has been under roof, but in my open shed. I feared the moisture and lack of use was going to take its toll on it.... And, why "save it" for the future... if I NEVER use it?!?
I was "over" the huge lift and tires.... It's been lifted this big (10"+) FOREVER it seems, since 2005! Years ago, I contacted Cognito about an "updated/add-on" NTBD kit for their old 7-9" kit to see if it could be changed to the new NTBD kit? "No", they said.... "You'd be better off to sell your current old 7-9" TBD kit and then repurchase our new 7-9" NTBD kit!" Sure?
why not!?! Lol. I loved the Cognito all these years with ZERO complaints.... But, I had grown tired of the torsion bar drops.
I posted the 7-9" kit lift and Welds/38" Toyos up for sale and unloaded them. Now what!?!
I had no rollers, so the truck sat on stands for a bit. Picked up some used PYOs off CL.... Started stripping and polishing them. And, started scouring CL for some used tires.
Meanwhile, my buddy gave me a stock set of clean 17s/265s off his 08' Dmax.... And, I got them put on the truck.
But, in typical fashion.... Those tiny 265s weren't gonna cut it! So, I located some cheap 305/70/17 Nitto TGs and tossed them on. Much better lift/tire ratio IMO!
As it sits now..... March 30, 2018..... turned 88,000 miles. Just passed the 16 yr anniversary (3/27/02) I've owned this truck!
I'm very happy with how I feel about the truck now. Doing all this has gotten me interested in the truck again. I love how it sits..... But, I do have quite a few plans up my sleeve for the near future. For now....?
I'm gonna drive it and ENJOY it!

Just the BL and green keys cranked level with stock rear. It's fairly tall still..... Sits at 45" fender heights on these 305s.

Wow, it's the end of an era. But I'm glad you're keeping it! It still looks so clean. Maybe find some H2s and throw them on there, always loved how those wheels looked.
