How do you get a 7.5" drop in the rear?

Hey fellas I'm new to the site and to the custom truck world. I have a 2010 gmc sierra SLT crew cab , short bed and been doing a little research on drop kits. I'm needing to know if I run a 5/7 drop do i need to c notch the frame. I'll be running 22 in Denali reps on skinny tires.

If it was a rcsb you could probably get away with no notch but the weight of a ccsb will bottom out for sure. You'd be better off just notching from the get go. You might could get away with no notch if you ran helpers but then the ride would be stiff from always having to keep them aired up.

I'm at 4/7" on my 09 cc and without notch. I have about 3.5 inches between axle and frame...no bumps tops. I haven't bottomed out.... But I don't carry much anymore other than groceries. I have carried a small block ford engine back there without hitting.

Hello all, Newbie here with a V6 RCSB looking to lower it. Question is how low can I go on 22" wheels with 285/45/22 tires?

After having the parts sitting in my living room for 3 months, finally got it all on.

Took 18hs fwith 3 guys to do a 6/9 drop.

All Belltech
FRONT:
-Lowering Strut
-Drop Coils
-Drop Spindle
-and Camber Kit

Rear:
-Flip Kit
-3 Inch Shackles
-C Notch
-SP Shocks

since im still running my 17s, i hade issues with the balljoint bolt. we cut it for now ordering new wheels and balljoints soon.

also the tool that belltech gave too install the bushing kept snapping. so theres that.

Looks really good. I had to cut the bolts on my ball joints too. And i run 18's. The mcgaughys instructions say its normal unless you have 20" or larger.
