Couple updates:

I decided to not fuss with switchbacks and HID's and got some chrome coated blinker bulbs and corner lights instead. Should give the heads a nice clean look when the orange blinker bulbs are not reflecting inside. I also picked up some Philips HIR2's for both my Hi's and Lo's. This weekend I'll mod the 9012 to fit the 9005 slots and throw it all in at once.

OEM Denali lower grille and valence go on this weekend as well. I got bored and just threw some black vinyl I had laying around on the emblem. If it gets good vibes I'll do it legitimately. If not, I might say fuck you and keep it bc I'm warming up to it more and more.

As for the Clevis... I have an idea that seems pretty slick and I don't think its been done before. I ordered 1/4"x2"x24" piece of flat bar that I will cut into two appropriately sized pieces, then I will weld a 1 3/8" ID, 2" OD, x 1.5" wide steel sleeve on the end of them. After cleaning that all up, I will weld it into the "V" shaped space on the Receiver just above the hitch mount. I am going to put a 20 degree or so bend in the flat bars to angle the mount up so that I still may be able to insert a traditional ball hitch into the receiver without having to remove the clevis. This will also keep the clevis from donkey dicking out and from hanging too low. The parts are all here, just waiting for an experience welder/fabricator to do the magic.

Next to come is tint, black roof vinyl and LED license plate lights, back up lights and re-seal tails to eliminate the infamous Denali tail light fog. After all that jazz I will drop an XR1 in there and start saving for Blackbear, full detail and full service. I'll post pics this weekend!
