Hm well maybe they will be soft enough. All I know is the big fords with the super arched springs ride kinda like do do. Last truck I saw with springs like that ended up with 21" of lift over a stock truck, and that was on stock, was like 40" with the 46" claws on it. I think he even had the 54" boggers at once

lol geez. theres a local craigslist ad for some 21" lift springs for a ford and they are like a horse shoe and theres so many leafs in the pack, but I know ford leafs are 3" wide and chevy are 2.5 so idk if that also makes a difference in how they feel and my leafs are a pack of eight and they are pretty thin, having some good expectations.

My leafs are actually a pack if 9 lol, don't know if that makes a difference but its 9 not 8

Tore down the axle to take care of all the surface rust and grime and paint , not replacing anything because all splines look good and the guy I got it from actually wasn't lying and everything is new and great shape
Also realized that the steering knuckle I bought is ball joint over while the axle stock was bj under so it looks like I'll just be going straight for heim tie rod and drilling bothknuckles out.

Also decided to make a list of what everything for this sas is going to cost me out of pocket

Front axle:$220
Lift leafs:$400
Pitman from bud run hopefully :$50(don't have)
Shackles:$50 (Don't have)
Rear lift springs$250(don't have)
Drilled steering knuckle with steering arm:$150

Don't think I'm doin too bad , still need heims tubing and some metal and of course shocks but I'm looking forward to the sale of my current lift kit for those,
Transfer case and drive shaft aren't gonna be worried about until I get it lifted up

Spent Friday polishing my shaft by my lonesome.

Dom wall tie rod with 7/8 heims and I'm gonna be running 3/4 bolts through everything except my pitman arm

Got the tie rod all painted but unfortunately I have to grind some flat spots so I can get a wrench around it to get those jam nuts tight

Running these boxed shackles , since the picture they have been cleaned and cleared won't leave them all nasty.

Also got these hangers in from sky's offroad , should be getting started on the front crossmber in the morning

Yeah I think I'm gonna not grind the tie rod , it'll be fine.

Got her on her own weight , still need to move the rear shackle mounts a bit back cause the shackles are bottomed out, total trial and error. I'm not too upset about it.
The front fenders measuring at about 62" while the rear is at 53" so I'm gonna be going with the shackle flip from WFO concepts to gain 5" in the rear.

But I gotta decide if I want to find my transfer case and all that first cause I don't wanna change the driveshaft twice

I believe with 40s the bottom of the cab is going to be dead even with the rop of the tire which was my exact goal height.

So, are you planning on parking in the garage every night? Because that may require, you know, taking off the roof

I would love to have a garage to put it in lol , my dad was talking about maybebuilding a shop where my truck is pictured , I think it'd be sweet.

I gotta cut of the rear hangers and get this shackle angle right first attempt didn't come out too well lol
Sneak peek of the front , it'll all be way more gusset and played it's just tacked up right now
