Maintenance: what to look for for high milage?

Truck is running wierd as soon as I hit 55mph it sputters or hesitates not a big deal but I was just curious what all should I look at replacing as far as maintenance goes? 02 4.3 135,000 miles. Already replaced fuel pump, intake manifold gasket, fuel filter, pcv valves. spark plugs and spark plug wires are next.
 
wire and plugs...which you are already considering.

try seafoam first, then replace plugs and wires. if not that, then injectors may be gunked up

What exactly does seafoam do? Already bought wires and plugs gonna throw them on this weekend.
 
doesnt the 4.3 still have a distributor? i would look into cap and rotor. or i think that the cats may be getting clogged.

I think but I'm not sure. I think I may have a small exhuast leak so maybe new cats and patch that up. Aftermarket cats or ac delco?
 
aftermarket are fine, just dont bother getting the high flow ones not much of a gain for the amount of money
 
BTW for shits and giggles, you can hollow yours out and see if it fixes the problem before buying new, you will get a check engine light though.


i would try cap and rotor first as it is cheaper
