Decided I'd do an actual build thread on this turd. So as most know I bought it for 1k last summer from my sister. Trans took a dump at 274k miles and it was sitting for 7-8 months till I talked her into selling it to me. Pics the day we made the deal.

I eventually got it to my house and removed the trans and had it rebuilt through a guy I work for on the side. Cost me 0 bucks. I traded labor for the rebuild basically. A motor swap on a project of his.

Since the trans install I have removed the roof rack because I like how clean it made hucks look. Lol. I picked up smiths old gmc 20s and done some tire swapping to clean up the look

I have gathered a few parts for it that haven't been installed as of yet. 2" drop spindles (no pics) I picked up from James (BB) and nnbs calipers with brackets and rotors for a big brake swap. Plan to swap the rotors with my truck to keep the drilled and slotted for the Yukon.

Overall goals is to lower it on 6s with a nice skar system. Maybe a hd hood eventually. Definitely get new lights throughout the exterior and all interior lights will go to Scotty for his LED magic. Or if my wife decides she wants to daily it then I'll build me another truck. Lol

Looking good man. I can definitely say, the big brakes make a HUGE difference in the stopping on these trucks.

I cleaned the interior up some as well. It had 3m woodgrain stuck on all the trim pieces. I got 90% off. Had to pick up a new bezel.

Didn’t realize how clean the interior was on this thing. Half want you to be able to do whatever to it, half want your wifey to want it so you can build something else :secret: lol

Looks good. I’ve got an HD hood standing by for our truck as well.

You made reference to Scotty and LED upgrade, care to share his username or contact info?

Keep the build moving

Having a body shop do the work or a buddy? Curious what the body shop charges to cut, finish and then paint the hood.
