So since Metalikatt deleted all of his pics, here's a new and improved MH1 retrofit thread. Coupled with my video and Geoff's photos I think it's better than what we had before.

Video How-To. If you have 15 minutes and are planning on retrofitting your lights, watch this video. I made sure to be pretty thorough with the details.

You can buy adapter plates here: https://custom-brackets-designs.mys...6-gmc-yukon-denali-mh1-7-0-retrofit-c-bracket

Geoff's pics to show you the outcome:

Im not sure what happened to the original thread but there was one floating around about the MH1 retrofit and it has since vanished. So here is mine.

retro was pretty easy, other then my one denali light being a pain in the ass, ( driver projector was sealed in with super high strength non softening from the heat gun silicone ) but over all, I was done in about an hour. Already had completed the 6-high mod on the truck, so when I made the harnesses, the truck became an 8-high which is freaking awesome. Heres what you really care about, pictures...

pretty close in size, mori is slightly smaller, but only in length.

Aimed at centerline, 25's from front of truck

Here's a sick shot of my cutoff. Pitch black night.

It's crooked because the ground was unlevel.

Did you have to use any washers to aim them correctly? I just completed mine and they need to come up more but my headlights are already hitting my hood. So I'm thinking I'll have to shim the bottom to bring them up

I'll just quote my PM reply to you and put it here.

Rotation seems to be off.

I'm assuming you're using 6.0's. Make sure that the notches in the bracket that accommodate that "step" in the side of the projector bowl are touching both sides, just to insure they're level.

When I had 5.0's I ended up having to put washers on the bottom bolts that mounted the projector to the bracket. This angled the projector up and allowed me to bring the headlights DOWN lol.

I think I used 6 per bolt. It may depend on your application really, but essentially you want to take the space up between the projector and the bracket with the washers, then shim it out. I had about 1/8th of an inch between the bottom mounting surface of the projector and the bracket when I was done and it was perfect.

It won't take much to move them up a lot.

Also, check to see if the bulb is seating flat against the threaded shaft of the projector... if it's sitting cock-eyed and on the retainer ring AWAY from the shaft it could potentially make your cutoff look off.

Hope that helps.

Are these plates still available anywhere? I've been researching all day and it seems like everyone who was making them, isn't anymore. Well I want to do this to my Denali.

I believe the 6.0 plates can still be had, just not on here. The seller was banned for reasons unrelated to selling parts.

Actually Eddie has some 6.0 plates still available. He got in touch with him on the other site.
