Whoops, gotta look at it better but it's for sure the CV boot. Not sure if it split or slipped off, will investigate tomorrow.

Yep, done. Good thing is you can buy boots and replace it but it's mess AF. Depending on how many miles on the truck, and the price of the shaft, I would consider just replacing the entire shaft.

Once I see how bad it is I might pump it full of grease and try to silicone it shut, just have to find the tear.

Yeah, boots run $15-$30 and shafts usually $50-$100+. If any more than 55K on them(which most of our trucks have) I'd just bite the bullet and replace the shafts :imo:
 
I did shafts on my truck not long ago, piece of cake. I think they ran me like 180 for both brand new lifetime warranty from Oriellys
