Borrowed this thread from some other forums, however, figured it could be used here as well!

Everyone has their opinion on what is best and what makes company X product better than company Y's product. With that being said this thread is meant for those of you who try/have tried new products, found a product that works much better than ones you've tried in the past, discovered a new product that you just want to rave about, etc. to post up and let us know why, show us pictures of said product in use/results, and just whatever you feel necessary that contributes to the usefulness of this thread!

Post products, machines, towels, tools, whatever! Just please include a why and not a "its better because I said so" or "I've used it for years so that makes it best" typed of stuff!

Now post away and help your fellow detailers/enthusiasts!

Just got a shine supply order in I love there stuff. Ride shine is killer way better than detail spray the old formula. Never tried the new formula.

Hotsoap looks and smells and acts exactly like Adams car shampoo but is $15 a gallon.

Now micro clean on the other hand doesn't seem to be as strong as other micro fiber cleaners

shine supplies compounds work amazing, i suggest them to anyone. cuts faster and in reality you dont need the second stage.

the rupes polisher is amazong, i have the long throw 21a and it works much faster and is so much smoother then the PC i had before.

Hate my PC, I know it has it's place but can't stand a full detail with it. Have you ever used the flex? Just curious since you like the Rupes. I'll eventually upgrade to one if them sooner than later.

interested to hear reviews/opinions on scg machine cut, machine finish, and acrylic sealant (how well it beads water and how long it generally lasts).

Also would like to know if anyone has used Harbor freight da's and/or their pads. pads aren't much cheaper than scg but I wouldn't have to wait on shipping. and the da I'm looking at is only ~$60

i have that one, no complaints other than speed dial is a pain while using it, have to stop, turn it up, then keep going. this is what i did with it and shine supply cut only.....
and dont use their pads, heard they rip easy, get some other ones

Figured id throw up a couple pics of the stuff ive done....
One of the biggest things I see with some of the companies doing their promo vids on the products is that they show you how to use it, but not necessarily what it can do....
My bosses 2010 2500 sierra
Paint correcting was done with hf da polisher, meguiars soft buff pads (red cutting - yellow polishing) and shine supply cut only followed by the shine supply signature shine wax

200? i forget, jeep grand Cherokee, this one was the same deal as the truck above except also shows the shine supply trim shine

Edit: forgot the beeding on my teuck from a heavy rain on the wax after 3 car washes and about a months time give or take a couple days

Haven't tried any detail company's glass cleaner but Stoner's invisible glass is better than Windex.

Works best with black and white newspaper, no streaks and usually cleans on the first pass.

Lol

I've put rain-x on my windows twice since I bought the truck in march of '13 and although it beads well, my windows (especially the windshield) are pretty hazy now. I plan on cutting/polishing them when I do the truck and sealing them with scg glass sealant.

i like HF DA. theres a few mods out there to make it better. get smaller backing pad right away. you can also take apart and rotate the handle to its a little more user friendly. im happy with mine for the moeny. i only have there pads at the moment and they dont tear if you switch to the smaller backing pad

bad pic but did this last weekend. truck is in real rough shape. got about 80-90% of scratches out. only have the swirl and haze remover with HF orange pad for scratch removal
