:imo: hardest part is going to be getting the actuator wired, while trying to hide the wires.

I have a shaved gate and bedcover, cover has its own lock. Once the cover is closed it covers the top 3" or so of the tailgate. Tailgate wont open unless you open cover first.

Would rather have shaved gate over bed cover :ayfkm: and with actuator and bed cover makes it hard af for somebody to steal your shaved gate.

I would rock a roll n lock or maybe a back flip but dnw any other kind. I had a solid gaylords fiberglass cover for a while but even though it was low profile I hated the way it fit on the truck.
