Important!: Candy gone wrong!

Getting too overzealous with your coats with VHT will cause them to crinkle like this as well. Friend of mine found this out when he tried making brows on his headlights... They are now plasti-dipped :lol:
 
i did my tails no problem like 3 months later did the third brake light with the same can lol :shrug:
 
sand off the candy, sand smooth with 1000, clean thoroughly, promoter, then try it again. I think Boosteds duplicolor in the pic was clear coat for more glossy look

You'll either need to modify your harness or buy the harnesses to run 03+ Silvy tails... you know that right?

Yep, from left to right was clear, candy, then adhesion promoter.

yep, the Silvys have a fourth bulb on the side of the light. Its an easy fix though, just a bit of wire, 194 bulb and socket and tap it into the running light or blinker. You could take the easy way out and just put some tape over the hole so moisture doesn't get in the housing too.
