New guy...

Thanks for the kind welcome everyone.

The truck isn't much compared to others on the forum, but she's mine, low mileage, and paid for

I have a 2004 Chevy CCSB Z-71 with LM7 5.3L, G80 3.73's, Airaid M.I.T., Airaid C.A.I., and a Magnaflow 3" SI/SO 14" case muffler. The only mod to the interior has been the addition of an NRAuto white gauge face. The exterior has a few mods. I color matched the grille, and lower valence up front. Out back I had the tail lights blackened, and I also installed LEDs in the brake light & reverse light. The front torsion bars have been cranked some to level the truck out.

I purchased it new in Sept of 2004 with 9 miles on the odometer. Off the top of my head there are between 20,000 to 21,000 miles on it now.

I have the parts needed to lower it a little, and a Corvette servo but I don't know when they will get installed. At some point I am going to get a tune, headers, and some 20" oem wheels of some sort.

Truck looks good man, and holy shit i wish i had that milage.
How low do you plan on going?

Thanks Jimmy!

It'll probably be a 2/ 3 or 4. I'm going to lower the front by decranking the torsion bars. I hope the rear will be lowered 4". I have Bell-Tech shackles that are supposed to be good for 2" of drop, and then I'm hopefully going to get the other 2" by removing the factory lift block. I'll have to replace the 4wd u-bolts, and bump stops with the 2wd u-bolts, and bump stops due to the removal of the lift block.

I want to remove the Z-71 decal, but I'm afraid if I do it will leave a ghost image of the decal since it has been on for 8 years. What do you think?

When I removed the lift blocks and added 2" shackles on mine it sat level, I left the torsion bars alone until I lowered the rear more, and you won't have to change out the bump stops if you don't want to, they won't bottom out with the stock ones
