Plans are

Freshen up the 5.3 (Cam, lifters, Long Tubes etc etc)
FLT Level 3 4L60
Mazzulla LT Kit
Deaver C85 rear leafs with some 2.5 smooties in the rear for now.

I'll try to move as fast as possible on this build but theres a ton of stuff to do right now. Def have to de-oldman the fucking thing.

Anyone have any tips for removing cigarette smoke ?

White vinegar in a bowl(s) in the cab should help. Or an ozone machine iirc.

Make sure it ain't cambered out as fuck this time. :cheeky:

What are people running for long tubes now?

Pass side manifold is cracked so i need to get that sorted pretty quickly.

Also go buy the little ozium aerosol spray from Kragen/Oriellys. Walmart even has it. Get a few and hose that shit down. Everything including the headliner. Will be strong and may need few coats but it’ll help diminish the smoke.

the interior is pretty mint, just mega cig smell. No holes or anything which is great.

Ill have to peep.

Since the trans isn't fucked for now I'mma start on the motor first. The front of the pan gasket is leaking a bit so figured i might start there.

I hear zero ticking, so wonder with 130k on it should i even bother with the HG and lifters? or just swap cam, chain, oil pump etc.

Depends on how big a cam you’re doing. But if it’s something like a BTR “low lift” truck cam I’d just do the cam/chain/oil pump and call it good
