Thinking about lifting rear and going with A/T tires

I've been thinking a while about switching to an A/T tire and switching out my 4" blocks for the 4.5" blocks I have. The truck right now has 1.5" of lean but the rear just seems to sit too low and I think bringing it up .5" would be perfect. I've also been thinking of switching out my nitto trail grapps for some toyo AT2's.

rrjjpp74's truck has really got me set on the toyos:

and how my truck currently sits:

thoughts??

yea I think I'd do the same size. the 295/55s in the toyo at2s are 1/10" shorter and 3/10" thinner than the nitto trail grapps, but I doubt that tiny will bit will be noticeable. I'd consider going to the 305s which are 3/10" taller than what I have but then the weight I'd save going to an AT I'd lose going to the bigger tire.

Don't touch the height. Doubt the .5" out back would even be worth the effort.
I think it looks dialed!

I bet you'll notice a little seat of the pants power come back if you ditch the trail graps, those are some crazy heavy tires that really suck up some energy!

I'm pretty sure your right about the tires.

as for the block another reason I want to switch to it is because it's tapered and the 4" is flat so the 4.5" might be a little easier on the yoke and ujoints

Better is an opinion lol. They'll look good, no doubt. I'd stick with 295s though, less weight and a bit more butt dyno power as Dave said.

Trails look better but the Toyos would def ride better and you'll loose a little bit of weight so that'll help MPGs and your butt dyno. I like the current stance tho

Toyos would look better.
Just saw these too.

I saw them too, but they are just as heavy as the MT's

lol I'm torn about the stance. sometimes I want to leave it and other times I want to switch out the blocks. it's free to swap the blocks other than throwin my friends a few bucks for shop time so I might just throw in the 4.5's and see how they look. worst case i'll swap em back out lol

Good point, can't go wrong either way. I go back and forth on mine as well, I've got 1.75" of lean right now. Some days I love it, some days it's a little much. Gonna get some 3" blocks and just swap back and forth. Those Toyo RTs are sweet looking, never seen those before

True, just looked at the weight. Only 6 pounds lighter. I've just got the stock 2" block right now. I don't have any good straight on side shots, this one is facing uphill on my driveway. But You can definitely see the lean in person. I like the lean, just don't like how much my rear tires tuck. Gonna wait till after the 1.5" bodylift to decide about the rear block.

I love your truck, but I think I'd like a 2.5" block better than a 3" block for you. also the toyo at's are 22lbs lighter than the ntto tg's that's a BIG difference lol

sometimes it looks like almost no lean and other times it looks like a lot lol

22lbs, dang that is alot! I definitely know what you mean though, my truck's the same. Your 2nd and 3rd pics look like a lot of lean, other two aren't bad. Have you ever seen a 2.5" block? I've never found one...that would be perfect

I agree. and ive never seen a 2.5" but it's gotta be out there. I hadn't heard of a 4.5" either till I searched high and low and found em by skyjacker
