Static NNBS (GMT-900 07-13)

I know I haven't posted much on here but I have a nnbs ccsb with a mcgaughys 4/7 drop kit but I went ahead and added the belltech struts set at -1" so I'm happy with the 5" drop up front. My question is to gain the extra inch(or two) in the back has anyone ever used lowering blocks? I bought 2" blocks with the new u-bolts but I was thinking of only using the factory block to leave my truck at 5/8 overall since I'm running a 285/40/22.
Here is a picture of my truck at 5/7 with a 285/40/22 up front and 285/45/22 out back

Many people run drop blocks but I would run shackles with the flip kit rather than blocks and flip..not really gonna hurt either way though, hell im running 2" shackles and 3" blocks with a flip kit on my truck

The reason I wanted to run blocks was because the shackles would be a b!tch to install because to remove my hitch I have to remove my air tank set up and to take that out I have to drop my train horn.

Does it still rub? Or is it still ripping threw the liner little by little?

It rubbed on the plastic all the time, but once I cut out the plastic it doesn't rub on the metal above it. Since I cut it out, I think I can remember 2 times in the last month. My suspension shop says that they have billstein heavy duty struts that wont lower the truck anymore but stiffen up the suspension in front a little. Just $500 installed, and I would rather pay $600 to color match the front and back chrome bumpers now. Come to the conclusion that if you want a sick looking drop on 24s your going to have to do some tubbing, or else ride on 25 series tires.
