UPDATE - UPDATE - UPDATE:

Finally an update on the truck. I finally got around to installing the Bilstein 5100 adjustable struts and rear shocks. The Bilstein’s are set at the highest setting and a .5” top mount strut spacer came with the kit, through it in as well for a little more height in the front. The rear has 2” drop shackles installed and I couldn’t find my stock shackles laying around so I just left the drop shackles. I believe the rear shocks are a little bit stiff/bouncy. I love the Lean so I’m thinking about buying some rear shock extenders to see if that smooths out the rear suspension just a tad. The truck rides amazing. Doesn’t shake the entire interior of the truck anymore when driving on poor roads. They’re everywhere in Dallas, TX. Smh.

Ended up going with 285/55/20 Venom Power Terra Hunter X/T because my local tire shop had them in stock and they were the best priced. Paid $800 otd for brand new tires, mount & balance (First Discount in Garland; off of S First St. Tell him TJ sent you.) Anyway the tires look great, feel great and ride great. Not to mention the road noise isn’t bad at all. No rubbing or scrubbing anywhere. (Didn’t have to cut, trim or not cal mod) PLUS PLUS PLUS The tires have a 50k mile treadlife.

Also I have a great, reliable mobile detailer in the DFW area. Lmk if you need a mobile detailer for anytime, anywhere.

I’m planning on doing Full Bolt On’s with a Tune next with JPP in Rowlett, TX. I still have a couple more parts to order then get my appointment setup with Justin. Won’t be for another 2-3 months.

What do you guys think I should do to the truck next? I wanting to eventually run a mid travel kit up front with Lift Spindles & Coilovers. I appreciate any feedback and recommendations.

Thanks Guys, TJ (Formally known as 07CCSB with the brown crew cab chrome and candy teal FTS lift etc.)

Picked this up on New Years Eve. New year new truck lol.

And before anyone asks - No, I still own the blue Sierra lol.

The catch? It's a Lease, so if I tint the windows, that'll be all I do lol. I couldn't say not to $330 bi-weekly though for a reliable family truck, that will actually fit my 3 kids in it. The ole beater Yukon is too beat and is being relegated to complete beater duty. I just take it out in snowstorms now to go drifting lol.

Details on truck.

2021 Silverado RST Z71
Optional 20's, black leather interior
It doesn't have factory Nav, doesn't have a sunroof, doesn't have power fold mirrors, doesn't have an auto dimming mirror.

But it has 'SPORT MODE"

Counting down to 24 months, then hopefully the new interior will be in these trucks and I'll be getting one of those once this lease term is up.

So GM is keeping the outside the same but updating the interior in 2 years?

Word is the interior will be in for model year 2022. So if they stick with that body style for 2023 model year, I'll have one of those as well.

Im over in north FW, whats his pricing look like for a paint correction + wax/seal?

Did you not buy appropriate length rear shocks? It's likely the E rated tire is giving you a rougher ride coupled with chit DFW roads. I tossed around the idea of the 33/22 Venom's but thought they would be a little short, therefore went 285/55 to get some height to fill the wheel well. Price definitely is appealing and seems to have become popular cheaper option.

Didn’t know you were in DFW now. Should swing by the C10 Nationals or Goodguys Nats at the speedway and say hey, we’ll have our booth there

Dude, we go to Roanoke literally every night for dinner when we’re there! I love that area

Yeah man, will do. Looks like May 13-17th for the C10 Nats and Sept 22-26th for Goodguys are the plans right now.

05 clean title. Ca all it’s life
Clean af. 117k
He wants 8 grand? Worth it?

My buddy is here buying the obs in the background and I kind of want to buy this thing.
My thoughts on it are it would be a perfect tow vehicle for the lake. Fits my dogs, seats enough people. Awd to take to Reno/Tahoe Has the 6.0 obviously. Since I sold the 6.0 I don’t have that 3rd vehicle to burn miles on or that “beater” vehicle that I don’t care so much about.

IMO. I told him deal. I’ll take it right now.
He said he’s getting a divorce so he has to keep it for a month or 2 as a dd until his house sells and wipes his hands clean.
Feel like I can’t lose at that price

I took his number

Interior is really clean. 160k though.
From what I understand obs trucks are getting spendy here

Denali is a good deal and so is OBS. OBS’s are going up quick, just like 67-72s and square bodies. There’s several RCSB OBS trucks that have sold around me for 12-16k that are just clean with a drop and wheels
