Went to order tires today and ran into some issues. Going 2/4 on an 05 Creew cab can I run a 285/40 /22? They can get a better tire cheaper in that size vs a 265/40/22. You guys will be glad when I'm done!

that 285 is almost an inch taller @ 31". You might rub up front with that size. Im 4/6 and a 29" tire will barely let the suspension fully compress w/o rubbing. You'll have to mini tub and roll your fenders for sure though.

I told him to order the 265/40/22, which is only .7% off of factory, but that I would research and let him know if I needed to change. The price on my wheels went up so he is going to try another vendor on Monday so I have some time. I thought about 265/35/22 so if I decide to go 4/6 later I'm good but I want the wheel well filled and better ride until I make the next move.

For a 4/6 i think 265/35/22 are too skinny I install them on the front and I hate how it looks so I swap my 305/40/22 back. For a 4/6 the 305/40/22 look great on a 4/6 all post a picture. Only rubs on plastic but nothing bad.
