The Boot
To make a long story short, with my inexperience and failure to convert my cluster to leds, scotty redid my cluster last weekend. Used white strip LEDs, and i removed the blue coating on the back of the cluster overlay so the gauges light up pure white. He also did my AC panel with white LED strips since my oem bulbs started to burn out. The AC panel was actually harder than the cluster because he had to cut the strips and do 6 sets of 3LEDs.

Some of overlay

Installed, color is clean and crisp. Looks amazing and I couldn't be happier. No blue, straight bright pure white.

Looking good man. I plan on redoing my cluster LEDs with the strips hopefully soon. No pics of the HVAC controls showing the strip placement?

Yeah, I stayed up really late that night trying to rush and get that AC panel done asap because I promised it back to James the following morning. I
didn't take any pictures while installing the LEDs and now I regret it. But what I did was cut 6 small strips of LEDs, each with 3 LEDs on it. I put one strip vertically behind each of the temp sliders and one strip above and below each of the round knobs horizontally. I had to solder wires to each of those strips and then join them all together to the power source pins.

Same, eventually. James posted how he did his stripes. Definitely in the led cluster thread, and possibly in his build too

Yeah I saw it for the cluster, that's the easy part. One strip and you're good. This seems a bit more tricky, but I like the even output a lot.
