I've had the truck for about 3 years now it used to belong to my papa and he gave it to me. Anyway I drove it for a while and tried to start on it as a project truck and just had a lot going on so I parked it and it's been sitting since. So far all I've done is primed the roof where it was rusting and also welded up the stake holes smooth. Last few weeks I've been wondering what I wanted to do now that I'm raising up my crew cab a few inches for a better daily.

Trying to collect parts for the build. It will be a month or so before I start making any more purchases besides small stuff since I'm trying to finish up school. But I picked up a shaved gate yesterday for it.

Few things I would do slightly different but plans sound great! Love that you are going with an old school look. Can't wait to see it finished!

All plans are very subject to change. And any ideas are very welcome. I want this to be a weekend driver only or maybe only a couple days during week. So please feel free to voice your opinions on stuff you would do different.

Here are a few inspiration trucks I've been looking at...

And ofcourse Coreys jaw dropper of an OBS which is perfect.

I would really like 22" gm steelies but between the price and having to swap out axle and change the front hubs I'm on the fence right now.

Just do when/if you have to do brakes, that's all the front is is 2500 6 lug rotors and 10 bolts are cheap

Yeah I like the idea of manual switches that to me is what is cool about a bagged truck. I get accuair and it's amazing but not what I want. Anyway this is going to be a while before anything serious happens but I want to start collecting stuff so once I'm out of school I can get on it.

Been a really long time but I do still have the truck but I left it at my parents when I moved away but now its here with me and I'm slowly getting it back going after it's been sitting for who knows how long. It's been really neglected and it's in poor shape now. But so far I've replaced the plugs and wires and that got it back going but not idling very smooth. Changed the oil and currently running marvel through it to help clean it out some. Also just did a radiator flush and new thermostat and replaced fuel filter. Today I changed the PCV valve and still trying to get it to idle normal. Every time I seem to get it running smooth I'll change another worn out part and it will run ruff again. Doesnt help the exhaust is all rusted through and the gas tank and lines need a real good cleaning out or replacing. Either way it's a project and something I've been messing with when I'm not working. Also been focusing on getting the crew cab back together after the rear end blowing deal but it's all coming together slowly. Anyway a updated pic for the thread since I will use this to remember what all I've changed on this truck and replaced. Also updated the list for plans at the beginning of this thread.
