Need help with tires for 17s

Picked these up for a hundred bucks on Monday. Wanting a set of winter tires. I'm finding good deals on 265 and 285/70r17s. I was wandering how wide I can go. I've researched a bit an seen that I can fit 295/75 but I'm not sure on my wheel being 7.5 wide. I found a set of general grabber set I want but are 33x12.50. Not sure if that's stretching it a bit lol. Any input would be appreciated.

I live in Louisiana lol. Snow is rare. We had a good ice storm last year an had 33x12.50 Cooper stt on my nbs an never spun a lick while everyone was fish tailing. I like the look of the wider tires jus wanna know how wide I can safely put on without rubbing everything. I plan on putting a 2.5 level kit on before I do the tires
 
Just in case it gets bad again. I have highway tires on right now. I know I'll be all over the road if it ices up again. I want to fill my fender wells up an look like I have trailer tires lol.
 
Grabbers are not going to be any better on ice. There is not much that is good on ice besides legit snow tires.
 
Regardless I wanna know what my limits are on height and width of the 2.5 level kit and 7.5 wide wheel. I'm Prolly gonna end up getting another set of stt. I can get a good discount on coppers at work
