Ok I'm gunna start hunting for some wheels to declad, what am I gunna be getting myself into? I am dead set on these, any tips, tricks, or suggestions I am open to! And do I have the right wheels that I'm looking for to have the wheels I want?
These?

Make these right?

Those are the right wheels. From what I've read, the adhesive is a pain in the ass to get off. Maybe have them blasted? Then polished.

Damn autocorrect lol but ok I have a friend that does water blasting so maybe I might look into that

Fixed your thread title.

methinks Eddie (2005_Silverado) is currently decladding a set too.

Im decladding gmc 20s. Foam on mine just literally fell off with very lil foam stuck to the rimp face.

Im using the fatty and a rubber mallet to scrape it off

Niice. I almost bought a set a couple of years ago that I was gonna declad, but decided against it. Kinds wish I had picked them up, although they were way overpriced lol

took me a few yrs to finally find a decently priced set....seller had never heard of decladding them....showed him pics "damn they look better that way, shouldve asked for more" :slap: too late buddy, already paid n loaded.

If I did them now, I'd do the ones you got. I had never seen any of them decladded back when I was gonna buy those other ones. The ones you got look great decladded.

I have a friend that has high pressure power spray business I wonder if that would work? He can power spray paint off metal so I figured the glue and foam wouldn't be hat bad

And thanks for fixing the title Oktain!

Did you try aircraft remover yet? I didn't read the thread so if if you said you did I don't care

Haven't gotten the wheels yet but I have seen people talk about that, when I get the wheels I'll try the pressure wash first and aircraft remover next

My cousin has a set of the 5 spoke decladded wheels. He never got around to polishing them and ending up buying the tbss wheels. All the foam and glue is off but the wheels have some chip marks from when he used a screwdriver to pry off the plastic. He won't sell them to me, I've already tried.
