Auto-dimming rearview mirror retrofit

I have an '06 LS that came with the plain mirror. I went to a salvage yard today and picked one up from a 2000 Sierra (I think) that has the compass and auto-dimming function and looks very similar. I pulled the entire wiring harness that runs from under the dash all the way to the 3rd brake light.

The one I picked up does not have the passenger air bag indicator on it, which I did not notice until I got it home.

Can I still use this mirror ? I really do not care if I have the air bag indicator or not, but don't want to throw a code or (with my luck) completely disable the passenger side airbag.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Yes, I had a hell of a time getting that out. I ended up loosening up the dash and using a pry bar to move the dash out far enough to get that harness out as the plug was too big to thread it back through the dash.

After all that, I get it home and realize it doesn't have the airbag indicator. Not that I care about it telling me, but I hope it will work.
