Have the same one and works great. The three or four times I've used it I had headphones on and didn't notice the noise. My only dislike is where the speed controlled is. Kinda wish it was on the opposite side of the polisher.

I agree, it's awkward to change the speed on the fly

Details Ginger? Can't do anything right now though.

its the standard PC. i bought it i think back in the Glimour Glass Detailing days. it still looks and works like new. I have large and small backing plates for it. if you really interested i can take some pictures. i have only used it to detail my truck like twice a year, and i did a buddies mustang once.

Im not sure on a price, IDK what they go for anymore.

I'd get Ginger's PC Jared.

As Dylan mentioned, the HF one is as noisy as they get and vibrates quite a bit more than a PC/GG does.

If you have the choice between the two, I'd get the PC all day, every day.

Rather have the griots garage before the porter cable. Many say that it's the same thing but I noticed a difference between the two.

I got a griots. I like it a lot. I use the 6" backing plate without issue. I will be getting some smaller ones to play around with

The real problem Jared is that its addicting. That's why you hear a lot of guys say just skip past all those cheap ones and buy a premium Tool like a Flex Forced DA, or Rupes. But I understand if the budget is a concern, you cant necessarily get one or the other. However, if you have a addictive personality, and once you start doing new things and want to concur them....just buy a Flex or Rubes right off the bat. Theirs always tons of PC for sale gently used for this reason.

I had a Porter Cable Random orbital for 2 years when I first got into it, Worked great, fairly low vibration and noise. Adams Makes a great point on that.

Or you could pay someone to take care of your vehicle for you.

Because it's not easy to do a quality detail.

no thanks, I've wanted to do my own for ever, but too lazy, now that I have the G8, and go to meets a ton, I want to take better care!

None of the damn DFW truck guys ever met up like we do...
