I recently swapped my centerline wheels for my texas edition ( early NNBS 20s ) and while the looks are so much better one of the wheels has started peeling. The clear coat is all cracked and looks really bad,! I want to keep OE wheels but the cost of getting it repaired is about the cost of a new replica.

That being said... Does anyone has any first hand experience between OEM and Reps? I was wondering if the paint is close enough to where if I put a tire on it and put it on my truck that I wouldn't notice it? I was thinking, that a company cant exactly copy the wheel because GM would sue them, so I would imagine there will be a difference in color and maybe design???

I cant seem to find just 1 wheel locally, and I don't want to buy a whole new set, hand pick the best 4 then sell them! Just seems like too much work! I am getting bids to repair the wheel and the cheapest one is $150.00 and I have always been told to never take the cheapest option. The most expensive is $225.00 which is almost a new wheel!

Any input is greatly appreciated

I'm sure it's safe to say that OEM>Rep any day. Honestly, just because of the pain in the ass you're going to go through to get a Rep, or a mint used OEM, I'd pay the $225 to get it fixed by a reputable shop.

If you're gonna end up going back with the same wheels, just get that one fixed. If you think you'd like a different style or size then reps aren't bad imo. A lot of people run them and I've seen more problems out of name brand wheels then I have oem reps.

oe wheels aren't always the answer. GM produces some shit quality wheels too. My OE camaro wheels are fucking trash!

Only good oem wheels are the new SS and the V wheels, they are forged. Not helpful to your situation, but giving my opinion.
