-braided stainless steel spark plug wires
-ignition coil
-stock rochester carb rebuild kit


ill update the list as i get more info. i really appriciate it if anyone can lend me a hand in finding things for him. its the least i can do to repay him for the stuff he does for me.

never heard of braided SST spart plug wires, sounds like they would arc or allow spark to jump to a different cylinder too easy.


does it have a HEI distributor?

they wont arc bc they arent touching any current, just braid on top of the shielding

word what alec said. ill find out today what he has for a distributor. i know all he has is an edelbrock intake and headers for the thing, stock rochester carb.

he really needs this, but they dont make it anymore and the 78 emblem is different:

depending if its a HEI or a remote will change the coil, unless you want to run a remote and change the cap and rotor for a remote coil.

i nice clean set of MSD or moroso blue or red wires would look the best IMO and give some proformance.

yeah he is debating blue or red wires, blue because motor block or red because car color. ill find out at lunch what he has for a distributor.

yeah he has a stock HEI distributor. He bought cap and rotor, working on getting a coil.

geoff, heres what you need.

call up behrents racing products, they are localish to you, as they are in NY. get the extreme MSD HEI cap and rotor, as well as the MSD high output coil, while you have the dizzy appart, weld the advance in the distributor.

Idk my dad already bought stuff so I can't talk him outta what he got lol. It's just replacement stuff since they probably have been in there for 20 or more years.

i dont think he got stock, he may have gotten msd or accel i dont remember what he said. he did say with just the spark plugs and header gasket it idled way better. last set of plugs i think he said he put in it were back in the 1980's lol.

pussys run choke, and this thing is all aluminum built to race carb, brand new is like 700 bucks. and its awesome
