Since I'm bored at home and we've had Christmas at our house, my mom and I had a talk about how I wanted to play this truck out. Keep it for another year and try to get a Denali HD or just keep it until I'm comfortable with buying a newer one down the road. So I've decided to keep this at least another 2-3 years. With that said, let the real fun start. Making a list on what seals need to be replaced and need to order new trans cooler line since I had some drops on the drive way the other morning. I'll either replace my windshield or retune with PPEI when I go back to school or I may have enough for both still have to see how much I have after rent and what not.

I have kryptonite ucas, sleeves, and idler/pitman arm sitting in my room waiting to go on.

Most of the plans from the hood, gate, heads and lift pump are still on the list but I'm really itching for a new turbo. I'm kinda looking at getting a 63mm cheetah. Nothing too crazy and still able to daily. Unless i find a really good deal on twins.

So far geared up for the "snow storm" that's coming. That guy is still wanting to trade his 20s for my pyos so trying to get that deal rolling.

BMF's stored and ready for the spring

Got all the front end parts put on and again, amazed with the kryptonite ucas if not better than my old cognito ucas. Sleeves, lower balljoints and shackles were put on as well. I don't have a good picture of it set after the alignment, but it's a lot lower in the rear. I have rear wheel liners that should be here either tomorrow or Tuesday. I'm excited to see it with the 22s back on.

looks good man does it ride a lot better ?

A whole lot better. I like these over my cognito ucas.

So I need a new headunit thanks to an accident last night so while I'm doing that i was going to do a back up cam finally. Should I do a CM back up bezel or do it in that slot on the hitch if i do shave my gate. Any input would be apperaited on location of cam and new headunit.

Installed the rear liners today and had the fogs aimed down finally. Shackles are sitting at 1" all around but I still feel as i have rake so need to have them on 2. Bmfs will go on next week or the week after.

Put the bmfs back on saturday thanks to a good friend and love how it sits thanks to the shackles and new front end parts. Those liners do a lot on looks when they match the front.

If you look back how it sat without liners and shackles seems a lot higher than this picture here. Taken at the same place as well. This is at set at 1" on the shackles and I'm tempted to go another inch lower.

A big thanks to :sam: for helping me out via text all day Thursday and Friday and to pick some products out. Finally corrected the paint over the break and I'm extremely pleased with SCG AIO. It got most of the scratches out but I still have a few here and there. Just hit it with AIO and sealed it. Just a couple of pics since I didn't have the time to go take some more pics and it was in the garage most of the break until today.

I did measure the fender height and it is at 41 7/8 in the front, 41 3/4 in the back and that's only set at 1" on the drop shackle so I may go down to 2". Also starting to think it may look better with the pwr fold mirrors.

Kinda an update for those who care

Upper bj's went out since the dmax store had shipment of them go bad so i got some new ones put on, the trans cooler lines got worse so went ahead and replaced all 3 lines, front axle seals and ujoints. Runs great now and all it really needs is just a new windshield. I would like to put a lift pump on but at 611 dollars and I don't really do drags or pull with it, it'll just be put in the want list.

Had it aligned yesterday and also had them turn up the tbars a little more.

The shackles are still set at 1" and i feel as I still have a little rake. I wanna set them at 2" and see how it sits but I'm afraid that'll be too much squat. I'll get around to it someday in a few weeks and see.

I still need to address the switchback issue since they light up half ass or sometimes will just not work at all. Along with they don't flash amber so that is kinda the next thing to deal with. I'm still hunting down some dl3 mirrors and now I'm wanting to CM the lower valance, tailgate spoiler, shark fin, esky tail gate handle and rear bumper plastics.

So has anyone ever ran into problems with VLED's switchbacks? I know I made another thread about this a few weeks ago, but now I'm down a turn signal. Granted this is my second set in probably a year and half but ALL of them will half ass work and lately the driver side ones won't even come on. Well I guess one of them decided to off itself.

They have a clearance on the older 3157 switchbacks for 25 a piece on VLED's but i know some guys get lucky with their ebay ones. Hell I may even just try the white bulb ones you get from vatozone or orielly's
