Bad obs abs modulator valve, what are my options?

So I've replaced both wheel hub assemblies within the past year, and the abs problem still occurs(brakes locking up at low speeds) so I just removed the fuse for it and have no abs now. I took it in and was told that I have an erratic rear wheel speed sensor and that the main unit, the modulator valve has a problem. This part is like 500 dollars new see: RockAuto Parts Catalog and my question is do I have any other options? I wouldnt even know how to approach taking this thing off theres fucking wires and cables and shit going everywhere, how do I know one of those isn't the cause of the problem?
 
Possibly, I hope its something that cheap lol. Whats the difference between the pump and modulator valve?

That's what I refer to as an ABS pump, not sure what modulator valve is :think:?
 
Fuck, thats what I need, what the fuck is a modulator valve? Thats what the mechanic told me I needed :rage:
