Should ask to see how dark it is. Technically the guy get did mine said it was 40%, but registers around 36%. For reference

Going to try and see if they will bend the rules, called a couple other places and they all said they won't tint the front...

Yeah it's on the books somewhere that it's against the law in all 50 states so shops get really sketchy about it. Before I had a local kid do it, I called a shop out by my school and it as 95 cash after business hours lol

The tint that is on the rest of your truck will make a difference in light passage.
My shield is 35 on the cummins, and was 35 on the Benz.
that is dark enough imo 20 would be too dark, especially with tint on the rest of the truck.
My cummins registers at 28% with the 5 over stock on back and 15 on fronts
Benz registered at 30 with 5 on back and 10 on fronts. Benz had no factory tinted glass.
Both cars have the same film and we're done by the same shop

Got clears, but I need to re seal them and my stock ones are all foggy so I just put these in for the time being

That makes sense but I have double 5% on the back and 5% on the sides. Maybe comparatively the shield seems really light

It's 5 right now was going to have them put another layer on but I slept 1 hour last night and was starving and told them I would come back haha

But I got 35 on shield
5 on left and right front
5 over stock on left and right rear
And the back is still tinted from the previous owner and he put a layer on to make it 5 lol
